I have been assigned with the company email and I want to sign it in with outlook but unfortunately I'm not able to log in. On web app I'm getting refresh the application error, while on desktop I'm getting Something went wrong. Try again. You may need an app password. error (I tried using login password and Microsoft authenticator app password both still same error). I'm trying to log in from last 2 weeks still no solution. Ask me if further details are required.

    Hello Saurabh-d,

I understand how important it is for you to be able to use your work account. I am sorry about the experience you are having with the Outlook app.

I will assist you to the best of my ability.

For the issue with the Outlook web app, please try the following:

    1. Use a different browser. You can also try logging in through the incognito/private window.
    2. Update your browser, clear your browser's cache, and disable any browser extensions related to security, ad-blocking or privacy.

On the issue with the desktop app, Something Went Wrong Error usually suggests that you might need an app password to complete the setup process. An app password is a randomly generated password used for apps or devices that don’t support two-step verification. Since you are using a work account, ensure that it has two-factor verification, you can then manage app passwords from the Additional security verification page. Read this Microsoft article for a detailed information about app password: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/manage-app-passwords-for-two-step-verification-d6dc8c6d-4bf7-4851-ad95-6d07799387e9 Use this app password when setting up your email account in Outlook on your desktop.

If the issue on the desktop persists, you have to repair Outlook.

    1. Go to windows settings and click on Apps.
    2. Click on Apps & features on the left pane.
    3. Locate Outlook and click on it. Click on Advanced option below it.
    4. Scroll to Reset and click on Repair. You can also click on Reset.

Please try the above suggestions and let me know if your issue is resolved.

    Kind Regards, Rita.

    I am sorry about that.

You can meet your organization's IT admin to create a new profile (email address) for you.

I am sorry, I don't have further troubleshooting ideas to share on this.

    Regards, Rita.
