Yep same problem....now I have so much more steps to do to save a doc as before I could copy the file and simply copy to another email or I would have the folder open to paste it in.....did anyone test the new Microsoft feature before releasing it... I have to use it as Copilot only works in the new outlook .... its really frustrating and now not sure is Copilot really worth it as there is much more functionality missing from the new outlook.
New Outlook Preview - No Copy/Paste of attachments
I started using the new outlook (the little button that swaps you over) and I had to stop. I can't copy and paste attachements from email to email, or to my desktop. The only options are Download and Save to Onedrive. Yuck. Is there a solution to this or do i have to wait for an update version or is the just microsoft forcing me to use onedrive (extra steps) for something that should be simple/seamless?

2024-04-28T22:41:40+00:00 Hi alla,
Facts :
- We can't copy an attachment from an existing email to a file system folder or new email neither with a drag n drop nor using the UI to copy it nor with shortcuts ctrl+C/V
- Now, attaching a file to a new file is very time consuming
Copilot is not available on old Outlook and the new Outlook is nearly unusable without these issues for people using it the whole day. It's very time consuming and frustrating for such a product. I will move back to the old version. These are vital feature for users, we won't deploy new outlook in my clients without this feature, a receive a lots of complain from users testing the new outlook, like a lot (100% of the testing users).
Do you have a roadmap or information on correcting these issue ?
Best,
Julien

2024-04-29T17:58:27+00:00 Julien perfectly states my concerns on this issue. Its a major impediment to use of Outlook for those whose work involves constant emailing, filing and retrieving of documents as email attachments.
It seems to me that MS is tying to force users to use One Drive (which I do have of course) instead of another cloud storage site, like Dropbox, which is what I use.
