Hi Diane, thx for the reply and I do appreciate your tolerating my venting. Yes, I do mean Outlook 365. For the moment, I'm currently switching between the classic and new versions.

Assuming that you might provide feedback to Microsoft folks, I'm including this paragraph. With my outlook 365 frustrations, I did hire 1-1/2 hrs of "guru" outlook support. Not satisfied, I consulted with the IT manager of a Large local corp. Both suggested using the classic version as they felt it easier to navigate and find info/help. On Apr 1 my classic desktop email simply didn't display ANY activity for several hours. I was able to receive that info on my iPhone outlook app and also on the NEW outlook email. Now, the new outlook calendar displays the monthly view in the identical format as the classic does and did. Until yesterday the new version would only display the monthly format without the small current and following month calendars in the top row upper right corner, along with the month's daily boxes on the balance of the sheet. I do prefer this layout as it allows for larger daily boxes by eliminating that top row. BUT, that display used fonts that were likely in the 6-8 range, very tiny! Regardless, for now, that format seems to be history.

As of today, both classic and new versions seem to be working. I still need to add holidays in one account and delete and then re-add holidays in another account. For the moment I seem to be leaning towards the new outlook.

Thx again for you input. I appreciate your help.

I used MS Office until last year when I changed computers. Now I'm forced into MS365, which I don't like.

By "M365" do you mean Outlook on the web?

Which screenshot looks most like your Outlook? The top one is both new Outlook and Outlook on the web. The bottom one is the classic desktop app. https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/53c5be26-25d0-467e-b982-99e114df4fee?platform=QnA

If you have a license for office, you can install it on the new computer.

This screenshot is from Outlook on the web - click Add calendar and add or remove the holiday calendar. https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/987f0e74-f85c-42f2-b318-d8b35baf266b?platform=QnA

The current calendar daily fonts are very small for old eyes.

If you use outlook on the web, you can change the browser zoom but can't customize the view. If you use classic Outlook, you can change the fonts a little - possibly not enough though.

If you are using Outlook on the web - go to https://outlook.live.com/calendar/0/options/calendar/SharedCalendars to get an ics link to add to gmail's calendar.

Hi Diane, I've tried that. Have also deleted some prior holidays(?) as suggested. No luck.

Maybe this might help you help me. I'm age 84, not much computing or cognitive power and patience left. I used MS Office until last year when I changed computers. Now i'm forced into MS365, which I don't like. The current calendar daily fonts are very small for old eyes.

All I want to do is print a monthly calendar showing our monthly activities and place on refrigerator. I used to be able to sync outlook calendar to Google and Thunderbird calendars, both which I preferred to the outlook version. Now, I don't know how to do that.

I've been loyal ti MS Office since 2007. For my circumstances, might I simply be better off, giving up on outlook and migrating to google?

I appreciate any thoughts and suggestions you might have.

    Thanks, Steve M.

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.

What exactly happens when you try to show the holidatys?

Are yo using an outlook.com account and want to see the Holidays calendar?

Did you previously have a holidays calendar and deleted it in classic Outlook? That marks it hidden and you may need to use MFCMAPI app to unhide it.

Note that in classic Outlook, you can import a holiday calendar in File > Options > Calendar > add holidays - it imports the holidays to your default calendar. https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/ac2452a7-8427-47da-987c-81e2ceebc483?platform=QnA

Let me know how it goes, I'm here to help you further if needed.

    -- Diane
