I need to copy/paste meetings on my Outlook calendar all the time. How can I get this functionality back on my work calendar. I often have the same attendees, same subject line and just need to copy/paste...and just find a new slot for the meeting. I don't want to "move" my old meeting b/c I want documentation that it happened. Having to build every single element within a calendar invitation takes a lot of time especially when all fields (subject, attendees, location, agenda) are the same as a previous meeting. Please help as I'm wasting a lot of time on this now that this functionality was removed.

Right Click, hold and Drag to a new date. It should give you an option to copy.

The "fix" I use is to add the copy button to the ribbon

1.customize the ribbon > change "main tabs" to "all tabs" so it also shows "calendar tool > appointment "

2, add a custom group and add to that group the copy command from all commands

(why does M$ think that hiding all kinds of stuff is useful)?)

When you select the appointment, the appointment menu shows in the ribbon, with the copy button

Click the button, then point the cursor anywhere youds like to have a copy of the appointment and RMB > paste

Now, this is my fix for what was previously available (in contrary what the M$ agent wants you to believe) : copy-paste under RMB or ctrl+c, ctrl+v

Ctrl+c sometimes worked but more as a glitch

For some reason this button is different and at least works for me all the time

And to M$ don't be silly. Why would you remove something as basic as copy/paste and then claim it is not yet available. Some of us have been using M$ software since the 80's and 90's.

Following LG_144 instruction, I tried to find something on an open event and realized there's a button for DUPLICATE EVENT. A bit more work than just Ctrl+C/V, but easier than creating a whole new event.
However, it seems like the option is not available for MEETINGS :(

Can't wait to able to Ctrl+C/V again, cause just like Erin pdx, I use it A LOT.

    Hello Erin pdx,

Thank you for posting this case in the Microsoft Community!

Based on your description I understand you need to copy/paste meetings on your Outlook calendar all the time. How to get this functionality back on your work calendar. I would like to cooperate with you to work on this case. To clarify this case, currently, New Outlook still does not support copying/pasting meetings in the Outlook calendar directly as this feature is not available yet.

I understand your concerns here but, please note Microsoft is constantly working on improving this product and adding more new features and the new Outlook for Windows (Preview) version is still under active development. Therefore, I suggest keeping an eye on the Microsoft Outlook blog or the Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 for any updates on this feature. Now copy items feature is in Rollout status for New Outlook and Web for Microsoft 365 Roadmap, you may keep monitoring the latest news.

In the meantime, I do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, if you heavily rely on this feature, you may consider Toggling out of the new Outlook for Windows preview - Microsoft Support for now. I will also update here once I get additional information and the specific timeline for the feature will be added. At this point, it is also recommended that click Help > Feedback or Contact support and provide feedback within the new Outlook for Windows and add your concern as an idea through the new Outlook in-app support Feedback site. Microsoft will keep monitoring customers' feedback and valuable ideas there to consider/include in future product updates.

Hope the above workaround will be helpful. If you need further assistance, please feel free to let me know, and I will keep assisting you.

Your understanding and patience will be appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Community Moderator
