Using Outlook web version of mail to show status as unread forever

I use Outlook Web to check my mail, but recently something has changed.

When I receive a new letter, it changes from unread to read after I click on view letter, however, when I click on another letter, the previously read letter suddenly changes to unread, I manually email select read again, but after a while, the problem still occurs.

I have tested it myself several times and found that the problem does not occur on every mail, it is very random.

I confirm that I have not used any other device to check my mailbox other than the web, what can I do to solve my problem?

(I have tried installing Outlook on my cell phone and logging in with the same Hotmail account and it works fine, but the problem still exists with the web version.)

    1. Open Outlook 365 in your web browser. Click the Settings (gear) icon and select Email. Under Message handling, find the Mark as read section. Change the setting to “Don’t automatically mark items as read”. Also, check the option "Always keep items unread unless I explicitly mark them as read
    2. Change your Time zone to another country >> save >>Close Outlook Update time zone >> change it back to your Normal time >> save Close outlook Relaunch Outlook and confirm the behavior.
