I had the same problem. update. No access to Outlook - files corrupted.
How to repair corrupted .pst file Microsoft Outlook 365
On March 14, 2023 Windows updated 11 verison 21 H2 all editions. I had significant issues after that update but most importantly I couldn't access Outlook. I utilize Outlook through Microsoft 365 not with an outlook address but through an earthlink account. I worked with the Microsoft technicians over the months to address the issues and finally I could access outlook and could view and download my emails related to my earthlink pst account but could not send an email from that address.
Now as of today the file is corrupted and I can't access it at all. I have tried the Microsoft tool and the scan pst tools and neither of them work. what are my options? This is a business email account which I desperately need access and I need resolution asap. Please advise

2024-03-14T21:39:35+00:00 I had the same problem but was using Windows 10. The problems started when 365 updated last week. After this, I could not access one of my two email addresses previously managed through Outlook 365. I tried relinking the email account and Microsoft auto-message confirmed the settings were correct. However, Outlook cannot access the PST files that are stored as copies. Microsoft support could not resolve the issue. It is fortunate that all of my old emails are available on my iPad but I cannot access these through Outlook on my desktop. My other email account works but sent mail is not accessible.

2024-02-10T19:20:37+00:00 As I indicated earlier I have already tried this option (scanpst.exe) and it stalled out and failed to complete or fix my corrupted file. The pst file which is corrupted is a pst file supported by an EarthLink server not an email address supported by outlook or Hotmail .
Please read my very specific recital of events below and respond specifically to my situation and please don't give me a generic response again which I had indicated in previous posts that I had previously attempted and the process failed.
Please understand the corruption of one of my .pst files is a problem which has continued worsen over the last year, originating from my initial update to Windows updated 11 version 21 H2. At that time the update failed on numerous occasions with significant errors of which I have print screen copies of the specific error citations.
Initially I couldn't access any of my Microsoft 365 programs following the update. Then following lengthy calls with Microsoft techs for over a week, going through numerous "fixes" my call was escalated to a senior tech who dialed into my computer and had me reload Windows updated 11 version 21 H2 all editions.
Following that reload I had access to my Microsoft 365 accounts and functionality of Outlook files served by Microsoft but limited functionality on one of my .pst files supported by an EarthLink server and set up manually.
After that reload the program which allowed Microsoft to dial into my computer became corrupt. Now I can access all and have full functionality with the exception of Outlook which has never been functionally operational related to pst files other than handled through an outlook or Hotmail server.
I would like to provide you with the specific Microsoft support file number and the emails supporting the service I received earlier this year but I cannot access them because they exist within the corrupted .pst file I am trying to repair.
I can still access Outlook and it is functional. I can access email accounts associated with Microsoft such as an Hotmail or outlook email address and have full functionality related to those mail files, calendar functions etc. however I cannot access my now corrupted business .pst file supported by an EarthLink server
This email business account set up through Earthlink has been in existence for over twenty years and initially was used through a Microsoft program I owned. When we converted to Microsoft 365 I set up access to the .pst file manually.
Again, following my initial update to Windows updated 11 version 21 H2 all editions almost a year ago the program update failed with numerous errors.
Finally I was able to view in the affected pst file supporter by an EarthLink server. The outlook program frequently crashed after which I would reboot my computer, compress the pst file, reduce the size of the pst file, run scan.pst I continued following the update even I continued to compress the file, reduce size, run scanpst.exe and even run a repair program on Microsoft 365 through the program section of my setting functions with limited success.
I could never write, save or send an email from the EarthLink .pst file but at least I could look at the emails located in the file.
Now I have lost access to view any of my historical emails which is a very large problem when running a business.
, immediately lost access to one of my propriety email pst accounts originally set up through Microsoft 365 and I can't even add a new alternate email address based on an alternate proprietary server.
This is the source of the problem which has been ongoing for over a year and has now lead to the corruption of one of my pst files.. My Outlook program does function properly if the server is other than a Microsoft server.
This must be a know problem related to Microsoft 365 Exchange Programs, specifically Outlook .pst files serviced through an alternate and rather than a Microsoft server. I have reviewed several similar posts on line from other frustrated Microsoft 365 Outlook users following a Windows updated 11 version 21 H2 all editions who are using alternate servers.
Working with Microsoft techs for days on end doesn't allow the escalation to senior tech agents who might have an understanding of this issue and could provide resolution.
What other options do I have?
