Did you find an answer on reversing/reverting back to previous/undoing a rule? No one seems to understand that we don't want to just delete the rule, we need to undo the mess the rule ended up leaving and try a different rule set.
How can I reverse an email rule?
I'm using the New Outlook and created a rule to categorize all new emails. I ran the rule and it in fact put all new emails in a category. I now don't want any emails to be categorized. How do revert back to the default setting and remove the rule on all my emails?

2024-04-15T21:52:30+00:00 This eliminated the "rule" but it did not return the moved emails to their original and proper location. I now have months of emails all in one WRONG location. I need to reverse the result of the deleted rule.

2024-02-27T19:51:25+00:00 I did as you recommended but the emails still had the categories, even after a reboot. I assume because the original rule was "run" and there wasn't a rule to revert it back.
Anyway, I ended up highlighting all my emails, right clicking, categorize, and click the "Clear Categories".
That worked.
I was originally trying to color code or something to make the new/unread emails stand out better. In this "New" Outlook, the unread emails don't standout enough. The old version allows you to Bold or Color code the unread emails.
If you have other suggestions, I'd like to hear them.
Thanks for the response.
