Hello Meg F,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Raymond and I'm happy to help.
Sorry for this inconvenience. I understand the importance of recovering your deleted emails. In Outlook 2021, you should still be able to recover emails that have been deleted within 30 days, even if you can't find the "Recoverable Items" folder. Here's a general guide on how to attempt recovery on your MacBook:
- Launch Outlook on your MacBook.
- Go to theemail folder list and click on Deleted Items.
- Select Home, and then click Recover Deleted Items From Server.
- Select the deleted items you want to retrieve, click Restore Selected Items, and then click OK.
If the emails are not in the Deleted Items folder, you might need to use the Recover Deleted Items From Server option, which can help you recover items after the Deleted Items folder is emptied.
For your iPhone, the process might differ slightly, but generally, you should look for a Similar option to recover from the server or check the Deleted Items folder.
Unfortunately, the "Recover Deleted Items From Server" button is not available in the Outlook for Mac client itself. Therefore, you'll need to use the web version of Outlook to access this recovery feature. This method works if you're using an Office 365 account with your Outlook for Mac.
To use the "Recover Deleted Items From Server" feature in Mac Outlook 2021, you'll need to follow these steps:
"1. Log in to Outlook Web App
- In OWA, navigate to the Deleted Items folder.
- Look for the option Recover items deleted from this folder.
- Select the emails you wish to recover.
- Right-click on your selection and choose Restore to recover your deleted messages".
