I tried using poll in my mail.. I created a question with 2 options and send that to recepients. Recepients can vote from the mail, everything is fine. But along with the embedded poll, there is an automatic poll link is also created and when user click that poll ,they were able to vote multiple times. Also it is asking for email address,so a user can type different email ids and can vote. How to disable those option. I want a user should submit response once. How to do that from poll in outlook??

    Hello Harris,

Good day! Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you're experiencing an issue with polls in Outlook.

To clarify, are you using the built-in poll feature in Outlook or are you using Microsoft Forms to create the poll? The built-in poll feature in Outlook has some limitations, and it might not support restricting users to a single vote. However, Microsoft Forms offers more control over responses. If you’re open to using Microsoft Forms, you can set it up to allow only one response per person by following these steps:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Forms website and create a new form.
    2. Add your poll questions and options >Click on the three dots (ellipsis) in the top right corner and select “Settings.”
    3. Under “Who can fill out this form,” select “Only people in my organization can respond.” >Enable the “One response per person” option.

For the built-in poll feature in Outlook, there isn’t a direct way to restrict users to a single vote. Create a poll in Outlook - Microsoft Support. I'd strongly recommend you submit your valuable feedback directly to the product development team through the outlook app (Help >Suggest a Feature or Give Feedback) or by posting on Outlook · Community (microsoft.com) such that it can be considered for development by the product team.

However, you can consider using Microsoft Forms as an alternative to achieve the desired functionality. Kindly refer to these resources for more information:

Thank you for your time and understanding. For other questions, feel free to add your post to the Microsoft Community.

    Sincerely,

Hi, I have a similar problem. However, this solution (MS Forms) does not work for us as the people we would like to participate in the vote only have personal email addresses. I note the 'one response per person' only applies to within the company and presumably on the tenant.

Like Haris_839 above, we have vote participants filling in other email addresses to give them additional votes.
