Hotmail is blocking incoming emails

Hotmail appears to be blocking a large number of incoming emails. A couple of weeks ago, I double tapped the top right corner of my phone whilst on emails. Following this, approximately the last year of emails in my hotmail inbox have disappeared. They are not in the deleted, junk, archive or spam folder. Since this I am only receiving around 5 emails per day from a few senders. A large number are now not coming through. I received a text from my bank stating that I had rejected this email. Is there a fix for this as I have been trying to sort for weeks?

    Hotmail (over the past week) is starting to NOT show emails that I have received from companies/businesses in the past.

    Nothing in junk/spam.

    I have checked blocked senders list and rules.

    **** is going on!!!! ???

    I am having exactly the same problem.

    It would appear that the Microsoft so-called "experts" are NOT reading the problem and are certainly not helping to find an answer.

    I wish they would stop giving the standard answers that usually come down to " Have you tried........?"
    If they would open their eyes, they would see that thousands of hotmail users are having this problem.

    It is not a problem with the user settings. Something is wrong with Hotmail!!!!

    I have completed these steps and unfortunately it has not resolved the issue.

    There are still a number of emails that are being rejected from the inbox

    Its now 2025.

    is there a fix to this. I'm attempting to do a Job application, and Hotmail is not receiving the verification code from the business to verify me. Ive done a test email to my self, no problem. But like its been said, some/certain business are been filtered out. None of the Experts have suggested a fix.

    Thanks for your reply @Kilroy321. It’s a relief to hear that someone has exactly the same experience as me. It also confirms my suspicions that Microsoft must certainly know that this is a problem that they are causing themselves. I get so angry with the so-called experts who reply to these fora with stupid instructions to follow that are irrelevant and a total waste of time. They simply assume that we are all complete idiots who do not even know how to turn on a light bulb.

    I have had the same Hotmail account for probably more than 20 years. Based on all of these experiences, we will first try switching to an Outlook.com account (I agree that Gmail is not really an attractive alternative).
