Eleni - I would like to post the same concern with the bland colours in the new Outlook. They self-defeat the purpose of colour coding calendar items as some of them now look the same (orange and yellow are indistinguishable) and they don't allow calendar items to stand out. Standing out is why colours are usually used.
Calendar colors changed
Hi! I logged into my work outlook calendar and the colors have changed their hue. I use dark theme and I color code my calendar. The colors used to be bold and vibrant, e.g., bright yellow (lemon) and bright blue. Now, the yellow turned into an ugly diaper brown and blue is no longer bright. Red is more of a wine color. They're now ugly and not pleasant to look at. These are the category colors. There's now way to assign a custom color to categories, only to choose from the ones that are there, and they've changed. Appearance settings don't help. How can I get the nice vibrant colors back? Thank you!

Is anyone in Mircosoft paying attention to these comments? It should be a very easy thing to remedy - at least give people a choice please!
I'd choose primary colours over 'designer' ones any day...
