Calendar events merging/sync (2 accounts - 2 calendars -1 person)

Hello MS,

As the title stated, I have 2 email accounts from 2 different MS tenants and 2 calendars.

Since I am only one person, I would like to ask if there is a way of merging these two calendars together somehow in a single one or duplicate automatically the events from one onto the other as well, so when someone from tenant A tries to book some time in my calendar to see if I'm booked or not from from tenant B.

Can you please help?

    Hi
You can use https://www.onecal.io/ or https://calendarbridge.com/
When an event is created or updated on one calendar, this service quickly creates or updates a corresponding event on your other calendarshttps://calendarbridge.com/it'sIt's precisely what you need.

it is ok, that microsoft is ignoring the real request ... as most of us cannot get rid of MS365, so we will stay living with the **** we get fom MS.

Same issue. It's very disturbing that MS agents can't even parse this request properly. I need to be able to schedule calendar events in my internal company account and have it reflect in my client-side calendar, and vise-versa. Manually setting up copies of every single meeting in each calendar is not a solution at all. How is this seriously still the MS approach to cloud tenancy in 2024????

    Hi Andrei Gusman,

Here are some of the steps you can take according to the more research on this issue:

    1. Shared Calendar Between Tenants: You can set up calendar sharing between the two tenants. This allows users from one tenant to view free/busy information from the other tenant’s calendar.

    To achieve this:

    • Create an organizational relationship in Exchange Online for both tenants.
    • Once the relationship is established, users in one tenant can open the calendar of a user in the other tenant.
    • In Outlook, navigate to the calendar, right-click “My Calendar,” and select “Open Calendar.”
    • Paste the .ics URL (Internet Calendar) of the other user’s calendar to view it alongside your own.
    • Keep in mind that this approach provides read-only access to free/busy information.

    2. Manual Duplication with Automation: While not fully automated, you can streamline the process by using Outlook rules or Flow (now called Power Automate).

    • Set up a rule that triggers when an event is added to your calendar in one tenant.
    • The rule can automatically create a corresponding event in your calendar in the other tenant.
    • While this still requires some initial setup, it reduces the manual effort during bookings.

Note: Your feedback is crucial in helping us understand user needs and preferences, and it can influence future updates and features.

We are looking forward to your response! Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!

    Sincerely,

    Hi Andrei Gusman,

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist.

Based on your post regarding "Calendar events merging/sync (2 accounts - 2 calendars -1 person)".

please try the below ways to manage your calendars across two Microsoft tenants and see all your events in one place:

    1. Syncing Calendars:

    • Outlook Desktop App: If you use the Outlook desktop app, you can add both your calendars from different tenants. Here's how:
      1. Open the Outlook app.
      2. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
      3. Click New and choose Email Accounts.
      4. Follow the prompts to add your second account from the other tenant.
      5. Once added, you can see both calendars in the left-hand navigation pane under the calendar section.
    • Outlook Web App: The Outlook web app also allows syncing calendars. Here's the process:
      1. Log in to your primary account on the Outlook Web App.
      2. Click on the Calendar icon.
      3. Click on the Settings gear icon and choose View all Outlook settings.
      4. Go to Calendar > Shared Calendars.
      5. Click Open Calendar.
      6. Enter the email address associated with the calendar from the other tenant.
      7. You'll then be able to view the second calendar alongside your primary one.

    2. Importing/Exporting Events (One-time solution):

    • You can export events from one calendar and import them into the other. This is a one-time solution, so any future events need to be added manually. Here's how to export:
      1. Go to the calendar you want to export from (either Outlook desktop app or web app).
      2. Select the events you want to export (or choose all).
      3. Click File > Save As and choose ICS (.ics) format.
    • Then, import the exported file into your desired calendar on the other tenant using a similar method (File > Open > Import).

    3. Third-party Aggregation Tools:

    • There are third-party calendar aggregation tools that can connect to various calendar services and display them in one interface. These tools might require a subscription fee.

    Important Note:

    • Sharing calendars across tenants might require permission adjustments depending on your organization's policies. It's best to check with your IT department to ensure you have the necessary permissions to share calendars between tenants.

We are looking forward to your response! Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!

    Sincerely,
