I don't care what it does or what it is called. It removed my archives folder and now lost my autocomplete from outlook and then i don't have it anymore. I have very important info in there from my work and personal business. I've seen many posts how upset people are about this issue and that it does not work well with outlook, I just want my computer back the way it was pre-OneDrive. I want OneDrive off my computer and my outlook back the way it was. So, for now, how do i get back my autocomplete back and then get rid of OneDrive?
OneDrive messed up my outlook 365
When on my computer startup it came up with a window to finish setting up items with i guess Microsoft and i usually bypass it till another time. I though i clicked later and it came with lets get started, with no options get out the screen. so i figured i would get to the next page and op-out till another time . But it said OneDrive is set up and your good. It sent me to my desktop and did not ask me about starting OneDrive or set up an account. So i just went about my day not knowing that it started to upload to the cloud which i did not really know until i went to use my outlook (using office 365) and my archives were gone. I went through everything I could find with people of the same issue. Which was not a pleasant experience for most everyone. I never did get it corrected by using OneDrive. So i turned it off and download from a site that i use for backup and figured out that OneDrive was listed as primary in my outlook data files and i changed it to the downloaded file for my outlook data files and everything returned. So the next day i see the OneDrive is back and is backing my computer again which is NOT what i want and at least it is still not listed as the primary data file which means i still have my archives. So now i find that my autocomplete is gone along with all the email names of those who i deal with. This OneDrive has messed up my account and is a waste of my time and never wanted it to start with and when searching for answers and it wants me to go to my account that i never set up. How does something like OneDrive start working before you even set up an account to give it permission to back up what you want it to??? I never needed a backup because i already have one. Luckly i had a backup to go to because OneDrive does not work well with outlook. Any way how in the world do i get all of my previous emails to show up in my autocomplete! Just make it simple, which i doubt with some of the things i have read that you need to do, and the answer is no to use OneDrive for anything. Won't you just put a fix in an update to fix mess, so we don't have to play technicians.

2024-08-27T18:52:16+00:00 OneDrive is not a backup, it’s a cloud location of your data.
The default installation of Office 365 and its OneDrive component uploads all the contents of the PC \My Documents\ folders to OneDrive, (syncs) and there will be a OneDrive folder in File Explorer containing cached copy of all the OneDrive content. And in Word etc the default Save location is set to OneDrive.
No Docs/data is stored on the local PC
The use of a connected OL data file on a Lan or Cloud(OneDrive is not supported)
The OneDrive icon to the rt of the task bar > Rt click > Settings > Folders ..... deselect any folder that includes the OL data file
If OL data files were in the default location they would not have been included in any OneDrive sync
