download classic outlook

i have just purchased a new laptop. i was not given the opportunity to select the version of outlook i prefer. the new version is ****!. so i have uninstalled the new version and currently have downloaded the classic version as a stand alone. seriously who had the brain fart and decided to screw with something that was not broken?

just installed the classic version and all is now as it should be.

please don't screw with a product that was good in the first instance.

You have to download a stand alone version: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/you-can-t-open-classic-outlook-on-a-new-windows-pc-5c94902b-31a5-4274-abb0-b07f4661edf5 I have yet to get it to work even though Microsoft support says I can still use the classic version.

Where did you download the classic version from?

I dislike the new outlook intensely. The original, or previous version was easier to read and the colors were more vibrant and pleasing to the eye. The new and improved version (SO-CALLED) is horrible. Not as easy to read and it looks downright sterile. I am stuck with the new version of outlook and I hate it.

Any chance I can get the new version back? I can no longer flip the switch to return to classic outlook. Whoever chose to change a perfectly fine outlook email system made a very bad decision. Thanks for your time.

Currently in MS Outlook, desktop, there is a Btn on the Ribbon to select 'new outlook'
