Creating a new outlook email account
Hi all, super frustrated here. I'd like to change my account email address along with updating outlook to the new email address, followed by opening outlook with the new email address on my phone. I'm really struggling to find a simple set of instructions on how I do this. I have an email from my hosting with the details, for the email set up, the process I've tried doesn't accept them.

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community
Based on your description it seems that you want to change your existing email name to a new outlook email address and then you want to log into your outlook app on your mobile phone using this account changed to your outlook email address, please point out if I have understood you wrong.
Firstly I need to know what is the suffix of the email address you want to change? (such as @gamil.com/@hotmail.com ...)
If this email address has the suffix one of @hotmail.com/@msn.com/@live.com you can click on this link https://account.microsoft.com/ Login to your Microsoft account, [Your Information] - [Account Information] - [Edit Account Information] - [Add Email]. Select [Create a new email address and add it as an alias] You can create an outlook email name you want here. Subsequently once it is created, you can set it as the primary alias and you can use this name to log into your outlookj application.
If you are using an email address that is not a Microsoft email address, you may not be able to change your email account to an outlook account directly. Here are my suggestions:
Firstly you need to create your outlook email address, go to the Outlook email registration page at https://outlook.live.com/ and click on the ‘Register’ button to enter the registration page. Fill in the required personal information in the registration page, including name, date of birth, gender and so on. Choose the email address you want to use.
For example "yourname"@outlook.com, create a password, confirm the password, enter a mobile phone number or another email address for secure verification, click the ‘Next’ button to verify the registration information, and finally receive and enter the verification code to complete the registration process.
After that, you need to log in the webpage or desktop version of your existing third-party mailbox to export the mailbox data files. Then import the exported data files into the newly created outlook mailbox. You can refer to the following linkImport and export Outlook email, contacts, and calendar - Microsoft Support
I hope that my reply has been helpful to you! If you have any other questions, reply to me at the bottom of this post at any time!
I wish you all the best

Thank you for your reply.
I apologise that I misunderstand your specific question.
You mentioned that your hosting company created a new email address for you. And you want to use this new email address to log into outlook.
If you want to use your non-Microsoft account to log in to your Microsoft account there may be two email addresses associated with it, one is your original email account for this email address. The other is a temporary outlook email address that is automatically assigned after registering for a Microsoft account. You can try to use this new email address of yours to login to your Microsoft account in outlook web version. Since outlook.com no longer supports third-party email logins, you will be logged into the temporary outlook email address that was automatically generated after you created your Microsoft account using this email address (this email name is usually a confusing string of numbers attached to the beginning of outlook 【such as outlook_1874*********@outlook.com】).
I am explaining to you that Microsoft does not automatically create an outlook mailbox for you after you sign up for a Microsoft account using a third-party domain email address, you will be able to use a temporary outlook account that is assigned to you.You can refer to the content in the following linksOutlook.com email account appears as "outlook_[long series of letters and numbers]@outlook.com" in Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support
Therefore, you can't login to this temporary outlook account on your mobile phone or pc.
If you want to use your third party domain's email account in your mobile version of outlook, you may need to ask your provider. In order to use the outlook mobile app, you will need an email account with IMAP/POP protocol enabled, as well as the address, encryption method, and port number of the corresponding mail server.
Please be sure to let me know if you have made any progress with your question, or if I have once again misunderstood your question, by replying below at any time!
Thank you in advance for your understanding and response!
I look forward to hearing from you!

2024-06-02T04:42:35+00:00 Hi & thank you for your reply, however this doesn't solve my problem unfortunately, it maybe because I did not explain myself well enough.
Simply put I am trying to open an Outlook email account using a different email address that my Microsoft account is related to.
I have ran through the online instructions, tried creating an account both automatically & manually via outlook & have had no success.
I have created a new email address in my hosting company & have the relevant information from them so to complete a manual set up, however I am missing something & can not create a usable email account under this new email address.
Would the fact my MS account is set up with a different email account?
Thanks again for your support
