New Outlook for Mac - Can't delete a few emails in the unified inbox

My Outlook for Mac recently auto upgraded to the New Outlook for Mac. After using it for about a week now, I have several emails listed in my unified inbox that will not delete. The emails do not appear in the inboxes in the specific email inboxes, but continue to show up in the unified/combined inbox list. While they show up in the unified inbox list, there is not actually any content that appears when the email is highlighted. When I try to delete those emails, nothing happens and the emails just stay in the list. Clearly, something was corrupted related to the unified inbox database. Any ideas on how to fix (aside from either ignoring those emails or just not using the unified inbox any more)?

    Hello!

I have the exact same issue, Outlook Mac 16.86.3 (24063014), I am on the preview channel.

IMAP is directly connected and not through Microsoft Sync Technology.

Issue seems to be limited to signed emails from the main German post office (DHL). I am suspecting this is related to the signed status of the email. Other email clients can delete the email just fine.

    Any solution in sight?

    Best regards,

    Werner

Good day; I have the same issue. Outlook for Mac 16.81.2

Some emails in the inbox show the symbol of a lock in green and cannot be deleted.

For now, that is restricted to announcements from the Swiss Post office about upcoming deliveries.

    Many thanks for your help,

    Rainer

Hi Jane. I'm not seeing a Check for Updates under Outlook/Help, but the version I have is 1 (23043001). There is no option to check for updates on this version of New Outlook for Mac.

Hello Chris thank you very much for your reply and patience

Go to File > Account (or Office Account if you opened Outlook). Under Product Information, choose Update Options > Update Now. Note: You may need to click Enable Updates first if you don't see the Update Now option right away. Close the "You're up to date!"
