Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com

It is recommended that you check whether the account in the upper right corner is @hotamil. If it is @outlook.com, it is possible that you have logged in to another account.
As you said, if you use hotmail, then the mailbox should be @hotmail, not @outlook.
It is recommended that you log in to www.outlook.live.com in privacy mode, then enter your full @hotmail account to log in and check whether your mailbox is normal.
If you confirm that there is no error in the account you logged in, but there is still no email.
There are several possibilities.
- The server is under maintenance and is only temporarily unavailable. You can wait for a while.
- If you do not log in to your Outlook.com mailbox at least once within 1 year, Microsoft will close your Outlook.com mailbox and all emails will be deleted.
