Hello Oleg Golibroda,

Many thanks for the response and we thank you for the useful information you provided.

Am sorry for the late reply on this thread, I have been investigating and testing on my end. I found that, currently, POP and on-premises Exchange accounts aren't supported, Currently, the New Outlook only supports Microsoft 365 work and school accounts (Exchange Online), Outlook.com / Hotmail as Exchange mailbox providers and other third-party accounts connecting through IMAP. Support for On-Premises Exchange or other hosted Exchange services will be added later, see Accounts in the new Outlook for Windows - Deploy Office | Microsoft Learn, Getting started with the new Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support. When attempting to add an account that isn't supported, an error message is displayed: We couldn’t reach the email server. Please try again. Refer to **** the new Outlook for Windows for organization admins - Microsoft Community Hub.

Please submit this issue as a suggestion to our Outlook in-app feedback by navigating to Help > Feedback, the Microsoft Admin Center under feedback, or a UserVoice request for the feature on our Outlook · Community (microsoft.com). So this is kind of funny, a new version of Outlook that actually has fewer features than the previous one? In one day I see no local Exchange support and very crappy attachment handling which are basically showstoppers for me to use the new client.

And users are expected to ask to beg for features they lost during an "upgrade"? I need to roll back, thank you for wasting my time.

I have the same problem. New Outlook only searches for Exchange work or school accounts, mine are neither and I'm not using IMAP.

How long has New Outlook been out now? That's how long you've already had to fix this.

Well, I guess you are joking. What would a feedback change? MS doesnt want this. They want to force users to have office365 only. MS wont support anything else, except they lose revenue. So just dont buy office365 and MS will react. Feedback wont help.

    Image

And i press on Office365, Exchange there is no option to add an Exchange server, i defaults to 365

On the next screen there are Signin options there are no options to add your companies exchange server, just some domain.

The Error looks as follows when i enter the server address to domain:
