Schedule Send unavailable in Outlook for iOS

Schedule Send became unavailable (greyed out) in Outlook for iOS. Any idea how to re-enable it?

The button is there, but it is greyed out always. If I try to customize the toolbar (reorder the action buttons in the action bar), the button is there, but also greyed out.

Outlook version: 4.2420.0
iOS version: 17.4.1

Thank you for your response, but it seems you are entirely wrong. You said: "Unfortunately, the Schedule Send feature is not available in the Outlook mobile app for iOS." Well, Schedule Send works just fine in Outlook app for iOS. Please see the attached screenshot.

I have only one device with this particular issue. I have many devices in the exact same configuration (iPhone 13, same OS version, same Outlook app version, same Microsoft 365 tenant) and in all of them but one, Schedule Send works.

In fact, I just installed Outlook app on my personal phone - and, off course, Schedule Send works fine on it.

    Hello Maxim Bachmakov,

Thank you for reaching out to us in the Microsoft community.

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience this issue may cause you. Unfortunately, the Schedule Send feature is not available in the Outlook mobile app for iOS. This feature is primarily available in the desktop version of Outlook for Windows and Mac. The reasons for this limitation in the Outlook iOS app are:

    • The Outlook mobile app is designed to be a more streamlined and simplified experience compared to the full desktop Outlook application.
    • The Schedule Send feature is not natively built into the iOS operating system, unlike the desktop versions of Outlook.
    • The Outlook mobile team has likely prioritized other features and functionality over the Schedule Send option for the iOS app.

While you cannot schedule emails to be sent at a later time directly in the Outlook iOS app, there are a few workarounds you can try:

    1. Use the built-in "Delay Delivery" feature in the iOS Mail app to schedule an email to be sent later.
    2. Install a third-party email app that supports scheduling emails, such as Boomerang or Spark.
    3. Access Outlook on the web through a mobile browser, where the Schedule Send feature is available.

However, the lack of a native Schedule Send option in the Outlook iOS app is a limitation of the mobile platform, and the Outlook team has not yet prioritized adding this functionality. As an iOS user, you'll need to rely on alternative methods or the desktop version of Outlook to take advantage of the Schedule Send feature.

I hope this information will help you. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you for choosing the MS community.

    Sincerely
