I can tell you that I have the exact same situation. I had a Samsung Galaxy S10e for years and just a week ago had to go to the Verizon store kicking and screaming (I hate change) to get a new phone when my old one finally croaked. I use Godaddy for my domain hosting and work email which is listed on the Godaddy site as Microsoft 365 Email Essentials. The Outlook app connected to my email beautifully on my old phone using IMAP. Now, apparently, IMAP is no longer a thing as was explained to me by a Godaddy support rep when I called yesterday. That's great, but the Outlook app doesn't seem to realize this. No matter what I try, the Outlook app wants me to provide IMAP settings when I attempt to access my account; Exchange isn't even an option. I get the identical error screen that you have shared with the same error tag. I have spoken to one Godaddy support rep and two Microsoft support reps - one of them twice. I have cleared the data and cache in the Outlook app several times, uninstalled and reinstalled it several times, deleted the account from the settings in my phone and restarted my phone three times. I understand that there is simply no way for every scenario and every type of phone to be taken into account for Godaddy and Microsoft developers. In this case I do believe that the Outlook app will not work for receiving my email until an update is created. The second Microsoft rep helped me set up the Samsung email application (red icon) to receive my work emails, and I went ahead and just uninstalled Outlook. Incidentally, my email would also add to the Gmail app which is another possible workaround. I had no idea you could put other email addresses that aren't gmail.com into that app, so I definitely learned something! My suggestion to you is to save the MANY hours I have wasted on trying to force Outlook to cooperate and just use Gmail or the Samsung email app.
I'm having trouble setting up Outlook email on Samsung android phone
I just bought a new Samsung S24 Ultra and for some reason, I'm having problems setting up my Microsoft.Outlook365.com exchange email account. I have this same email account loaded on Outlook on a Samsung Note 20 and Samsung S9 Tablet and didn't have any issues setting up the account at the time of adding to Outlook. I've spent hours on the phone with both Go Daddy and Samsung customer support agents with no joy. Here is a screenshot of the error message I get. Can someone smarter than me please advise?

2024-08-20T21:09:18+00:00 I figured it out after spending countless hours on the phone with SC agents from Go Daddy, Samsung, and Microsoft without anyone of them being able to point me in the right direction. Actually, they each tried blaming each-other for the issue stating that it wasn't their problem.
But finally after tossing darts at the dartboard for close to a week, I PERSONALLY figured it out.
It was caused by a saved login for Go Daddy within the Samsung Pass app. Once I deleted that saved login found in the apps menu tree, my problem was solved!!!
I'm not sure how or when that login was created because the phone is only 1 week old, but that was the culprit!
Hope that helps, let me know.

2024-08-20T01:34:44+00:00 I just tried Outlook Lite and I'm having the same issues. Tried the Samsung Mail app and everything worked as it should.
