How do I import a calendar from classic Outlook to new Outlook?

Greetings -

Just trying to switch from classic Outlook to new Outlook. Everything seems to have transferred well enough except for the calendar. So, it looked like I needed to add a calendar to new Outlook and I consulted the Help section for instructions. First step was to select "Add calendar" which brought up the "Add calendar" window. Next step is "Under Add calendar, select Upload from file." Problem is, that option is not listed. Am I going about this the wrong way?

    Hello Greg Kastanek

Currently New Outlook does not support importing the file you are talking about. Support for .pst files feature is under development and you can follow that link, New Outlook support for .pst files has been added to the product roadmap but not yet completed.

Also if your calendar is synchronized with your accounts such as Microsoft account, Google account . Then your calendar will be synchronized to New Outlook after your account is successfully configured. If your account is a three-party account using IMAP/POP protocol, it is recommended that you continue to use Classic Outlook.

    Hi,

Sorry to keep asking, but I have Classic Outlook installed now and I still have no Inbox, Calendar, or Contacts recovered. Please clarify a path to fixing this. Thank you again.

Since the new Outlook can't transfer calendars from classic Outlook I will stick with classic for now. Thank you for all the help you provided.

Thank you for your response. I added another email account and that did indeed provide the option to upload. However, I now discover that new Outlook is only capable of uploading .ics files and my classic Outlook is only capable of exporting either .pst or .csv files . . .

    Hello Greg Kastanek

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are currently having problems importing calendar files in New Outlook. I completely understand how you are feeling.

In my local I did some testing and the option does not show up if there is only one IMAP account in New Outlook.

But after adding another Outlook account to New Outlook, the option is available. You can check the type of account you have set up for that location by clicking on Settings - Accounts - Email Accounts (below the email address).

I hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help.

    Sincere greetings
