Dear 092735q,
Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.
In order to understand your query and provide possible solution, May I please know if you are using Exchange, IMAP or POP email account?
If you are using Exchange account in the new Outlook for windows, you can able to set up an Auto Reply with a different message for internal or external users to start and end at specific time. When you set up automatic replies in the new outlook, you can set some specific period of starting and ending time to replies to incoming emails whether you are out-of-office or not. Otherwise, they'll continue sending the automatic replies until you turn them off in your outlook settings. To do this, kindly follow the steps below:
- On the View tab, select View settings.
- Select Accounts> Automatic Replies.
- Select the Turn on automatic replies toggle.
- Select Send replies only during a time period, and then enter start and end times.
- Under Send automatic replies inside your organization, enter the message to send the auto-reply to your internal users. (You can use the formatting options for text alignment, color, and emphasis.) To set up automatic replies to other people, select Send replies outside your organization, then add a separate message for that external users.
- When you're done, select Save. This will **** allows you send automatic replies with a different message for internal or external users without being Out of Office.
However, if you are using IMAP or POP email account, I understand your query here, but this feature doesn't seem feasible in the new outlook at the moment. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, if you heavily rely on this feature, you can consider to Toggling out of the new Outlook for Windows preview - Microsoft Support for now and set an outlook rule to respond for all incoming emails using server reply condition. You can refer to Use rules to create an out of office message - Microsoft Support. When you set this rule in the classic Outlook, it will send auto reply to all incoming emails.
I look forward to your update. Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if I got you wrong. If you still have any concerns, please let me know so I can provide more suggestions.
Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.
Sincerely,
