The search faciltiy does not appear in the ribbon, and there seems to be no option to add it in the settings.

    Hi Dave Jackson2

No search bar? That's very strange. What Outlook client are you using?

It's on the top of your outlook new, and it there by default.

    Did you try Pressing F3?

Alt + Q could also do the trick.

Hope this help and resolve your problem :)

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Regards.

    Dear Dave Jackson2

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing some confusion when using new Outlook.

Search in New Outlook is not a ribbon item that can be added or removed. It's a search bar, usually located at the top of the new Outlook window. You can search your e-mail, contacts, and files in one place; just type what you want to find in the search bar and press Enter on your keyboard and that's it. :)

I sincerely hope that this can solve your problem. If you have found anything else worth mentioning, please contact me and tell me about it, I would be happy to solve the problem with you, thank you for your cooperation and understanding. :)

    Best regards

We hate your crappy new Outlook. Switching to the Classic Outlook is difficult and near impossible. It seems to require a license to 365 which I don't have and will not get.

You are out of touch with your customer's wishes.

PROVIDE AN EASY METHOD TO PERMANENTLY SWITCH TO THE CLASSIC OUTLOOK.

There is no search bar either. That's why I was asking how to add one.
