I do not understand why I cannot carry on as I am now having been a windows user all my "on" line life. Im being forced to make changes and incur costs at 68 yrs old. Dont want Business programs or school based systems. Just browsing, email and to safeguard my pictures and memories. I have already been forced/convinced? to opt for New Outlook but 100% do not want to be forced to make other changes. If reverting to traditional Outlook prevents all of this hassle can someone tell me how to do that please?

Dear me i tried Outlook in 1995 and it is as bad but now, useless lost all my emails it won't work with pop3 keeps asking for I MAP.

I understand younger users my find these new features good foe them even better if they have a degree

    in computer studies .

Microsoft could help older people could have a slimed down vision of W11 this would solve the problem

for the 60 and 70 age group.

Thanks Diane. I have mails being held by outlook but not sure what I can do to get them to release it? We have holiday arrangements being held up that affects flights, taxis and car hire. Shocked tbh by this handling of the situation on their side.

Will devote the whole day tomorrow to keeping my holiday in place by using someone elses mail.

    regards

    Tony

You would appear to have purchased Office 365 Basic, which includes 100gb storage and outlook.com, O365 Personal includes Word, Excel, Powepoint & MS Outlook

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/p/microsoft-365-basic/cfq7ttc0ktxs?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

You can switch back to 'old' outlook, your current Outlook.com incldes Calander & Contacts.

You can add your outlook.com mail account to the Win Mail app

Hi , thank you for comiung back. Im a very simple user. Was on traditional Outlook. Clicked over to New Outloook as they gave impression everything would gradually be ported over and time was running out? Since then everything has been difficult being told it wont support I cloud etc. Being asked to make click options to choose 365 to link all and improve productivity? Use MS Edge for browsing. We operate very efficiently via a write up calendar on our kitchen notice board but do enjoy browsing, social media special interest groups etc and email. Have a lot of photos from holidays, hobbies etc and were pressured to reduce storage etc to remain in non paid for sector. Brought all into Outlook storage limits but did agree to pay MS £1.99 per month for photo storage. This has been so for 1yr +. No other agreements have been made. Will it be a problem if I now just click back to traditional Outlook in terms of forward support etc? I did click something they requested to make New Windows our default.

We are waiting for confirmations for a holiday including taxi, accom etc but being told we wont recieve more mails until we comply ? Very awkward 10 days away from our holiday.

You are not "forced" to use 'new outlook' its optional.

Are you accessing Outlook.com via some web browser or a Win Mail app or?

What/where/doing what are you seeing anything about Work or School?
