To whom it may concern,

I need major assistance! I would like to view or get access to someone else's outlook calendar. I was informed that "That can be done through Outlook. You have to request it through outlook and you’ll get prompted to accept." I have tried multiple ways to get the access or send a request and I have gotten nowhere. Please help!

Thank you,

Northwell Employee

    Hi Katherine,

I’d like to request edit access to a colleague's calendar. I have already added his company calendar to my "People’s Calendars" using the directory, as we’re within the same organization. However, when I attempt to right-click on his calendar and select “Properties” as outlined in the guide, I don’t see that option.

Instead, my right-click options are limited to: “Show This Only,” “Remove,” “Color,” “Charm,” “Move Up,” “Move Down,” and “Move To.”

Could you please advise on how I might resolve this issue and obtain edit access? Asking him to grant access from his end may not be feasible at the moment, so any alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your assistance!

    Best regards,

    Noel

    Dear Nalini Nandsaram

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know the scenario you met. For this, I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble accessing someone else's Outlook calendar. Here are the steps to request access to someone else's calendar in Outlook for Windows:

    For classic Outlook :

    1. Open Outlook and go to the Calendar view.
    2. Right-click on the calendar you want to access and select "Properties".
    3. Click on the "Permissions" tab.
    4. Click on the "Add" button and enter the email address of the person whose calendar you want to access.
    5. Select the level of access you want to request (e.g. "Reviewer", "Editor", etc.).
    6. Click "OK" to send the request.

For New Outlook how to share calendar: Share an Outlook calendar with other people - Microsoft Support

The person whose calendar you want to access will receive an email notification of your request. They can then choose to accept or decline your request. If they accept, you will be able to view their calendar in Outlook.

Or can try with below method In New outlook for Windows : Create additional calendars - Microsoft Support

Hope this can help. If there is any update or you have other consult, please feel free to let me know.

Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely

    Katherine
