It's incredibly annoying, frustrating and time consuming when Microsoft changes things. How 'bout you ask if we want the change before you come up with something your customers may not be interested in or want? If you're that bored, I have a lawn that needs to be mowed. lol.

The problem is that you changed the defaults. I liked the defaults I had. Now the defaults are different. I do not want different. I have enough to worry about without having to relearn the Outlook UI every six months because someone at MS needed to prove they were doing work of some sort. Stop it.

Amen to that. Even more annoying when they never seem to actually read requests on this forum before providing generic and nonpertinent responses. So typical MS

    Hello Jennifer Butz,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I'm happy to assist you with this request.

To revert your Outlook Inbox appearance to the default settings, you can try the following steps:

    Close Outlook if it’s open.

Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

Type outlook.exe /cleanviews and press Enter. This command resets all custom view settings to their defaults.

If this doesn’t work, you might need to check for other issues such as outdated Outlook apps or conflicting add-ins. Running Outlook in safe mode can help determine if add-ins are causing the problem. To do this:

    Close Outlook.

Open the Run dialog box again with Win + R.

Type outlook.exe /safe and press Enter.

This will start Outlook without any add-ins running. If the issue resolves in safe mode, it indicates that one or more add-ins are causing the problem, and you may need to disable them.

We are looking forward to your reply. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards,

I just went to File, Office Account and then changed the theme back from white to colourful so that at least took the blinding glare back off the screen. Something else is amiss but at least sorted that aspect. I agree changing things like this for the heck of it is super annoying and consumes unnecessary time - aggravating us users for no value add reason
