I am unable to copy an attachment directly from an email using Keyboard shortcut
Keyboard shortcut to attach a file in New Outlook
Hello,
I work at a school for the blind where screen readers like NVDA, JAWS and narrator are primarily used for navigation. Our blind users used to use ALT+H then A+F as a keyboard shortcut to attach files in Outlook Classic. In the new version of Outlook there seems to be keyboard shortcuts for most other things but no shortcut for attaching files to an email. Right now, the only option seems to be using SHIFT+TAB until you get back to the attachment button. This is very cumbersome for someone who uses a screen reader. I'm curious to see if anyone else has run into this issue.
Thanks,
Owen

Thank you for posting this case in Microsoft Community!
Based on your description: Keyboard shortcut to attach a file in New Outlook. I would like to cooperate with you working on this case. To clarify this case, currently ALT+H and A+F as a keyboard shortcut to attach files does not support in New Outlook as not available yet. In New Outlook, you can attach a file via Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V as a keyboard shortcut or using copy/paste files directly. Another way, you can click Attach file options directly in New Outlook.
As reference, you can go to New Outlook>Settings>General>Accessibility. Then open click here to see all the available keyboard shortcuts list as below shared:
I understand your concerns here but, please note Microsoft is constantly working on improving this product and adding more new features and the new Outlook for windows (Preview) version is still under active development. Therefore, I suggest keeping an eye on the Microsoft Outlook blog or the Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 for any updates on this feature. In the meantime, I do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, if you heavily rely on this feature, you may consider Toggling out of the new Outlook for Windows preview - Microsoft Support for now. I will also update here once I get additional information and the specific timeline for the feature will be added.
At this point, it is also recommended that click Help > Feedback or Contact support and provide feedback within the new Outlook for Windows and add your concern as an idea through the new Outlook in-app support Feedback site. Microsoft will keep monitoring customers feedback and valuable ideas there to consider/include in the future product update.
Your understanding and patience will be appreciated.
Thank you!
