Stop receiving email notifications of people responses for some events

Hi,

In my organisation, we use the outlook calendar to organise meetings, etc. It is very useful to receive notifications via email when people respond.

However, I use the same tool to create seminars with many invitees, so it becomes very annoying to receive hundreds of mails and notifications for them. Is there a way to prevent outlook to send me emails for some of the events?

    Hello Andres,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Yes, in Outlook, you can turn off response notifications for individual meetings:

    1. When you create a new meeting invite, go to the "Response Options" on the Meeting tab.
    2. Uncheck "Request Responses" to stop receiving email notifications when people respond to that invite.
    3. If you've already sent the invite, open the meeting from your calendar, click on "Response Options," and adjust the settings.

Remember to do this for each seminar or large event where you don't want to receive response notifications. This won't affect your settings for other meetings.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards, Ibhadighi

Hello, I used this feature on a calendar invite I sent out but now when I click into the event to see the RSVP list I get a notification stating that I did not request responses for that event. Therefore it is not showing me who has accepted or not. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Doing this also stops their response showing under tracking - everyone shows as NONE for attending.

    Hello Andres,

Yes, that's correct. Unchecking "Request Responses" will stop you from receiving email notifications each time someone responds, but it does not prevent invitees from responding to the event. You will still be able to see their responses in the event details on your Outlook calendar. The main change is simply that you won't get an email notification for each response.

    Best Regards, Ibhadighi
