Forwarding email from Outlook to Gmail

I am trying to get Outlook to forward all emails that are sent to my Outlook address to my Gmail address. I have gone into settings, and turned on "Enable Forwarding", typed in my Gmail address, and clicked "Save". Both of the "Let devices and apps use..." are switched on for IMAP, and POP. I have no rules set up in Outlook. However, no emails are getting forwarded...I have checked the SPAM folder in Gmail, and it's empty. What am I doing wrong, or what might be stopping this ? I have the new Outlook, top left I have "Home", "View", and "Help", and below that a "New Email" dropdown. I have tried turning the forwarding function off and on again, and also logged out of Outlook and signed back in.

So.......previously, I was opening Outlook in my browser. So I have now opened it as a separate app, and made sure that it was updated. After going to settings, email, and forwarding, I have turned on forwarding, and entered my email address, but still not working....I have turned on and off, and logged out a couple of times, but still none of my test messages have appeared in Gmail. Do I need to do something in Gmail also ? (Nothing in spam folder). To make sure there were no other obvious issues, I sent a normal mail from my Outlook to my Gmail, and that went through fine. Should there be a notification somewhere in the Outlook New window stating that "All Mail is being forwarded", I thought I read that somewhere, but I see nothing.

    Hi Roger Houman

    You can do this by:

    1.Open your Outlook new

2.Open settings, which is the cogwheel you see on the top.

    3.Navigate to Mail, then Forwarding

4.You can enable forwarding and enter your Gmail address here.

Sorry that I cannot provide you with a screenshot, but it would be simple to find it out.

Contact me if you still need assistance :)

    Best regards

    Hi Roger Houman

    Thank you for your cooperation!

Is it possible that your Gmail is blocking messages forwarded from a Microsoft domain? It looks like the message is not being sent to your Gmail at all. You can check and change your settings in your Gmail.

I have set up a forwarding from my Hotmail to Gmail, everything works fine :)

The steps I take are exactly the same as mentioned above.

    Regards.

    Dear Roger Houman

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

Thank you for the detailed description. In fact, you are correct that the forwarding feature is enabled this way. Your action is absolutely correct.

However, based on your description, it seems that you are setting it up through Outlook.com, since only outlook.com has the option “Let devices and apps use...“

I just tested it on new Outlook and there was no problem at all, my emails were forwarded from Hotmail to my Gmail perfectly. So I hope you can also try to set up your forwarding in Outlook new first.

Also, you can use rules for forwarding, rules are also effective for forwarding emails.

    Navigate to Settings, Mail, Rules

Add a condition: Apply to all messages

Add a condition: Received After <choose your desired date>

    Forward to :<your Gmail address>

    Check "Stop processing more rules"

I know this may not solve your problem immediately, but I need to know more about your situation so I can help you better, please understand. If you've found something else worth noting, please contact me and tell me about it, I'd love to solve the problem with you, thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

    Best regards
