I have had lots of emails saying I have a virus can you help

In the last 24 hours I have got lots of emails saying my account is under threat can you help and tell me if this is true? I have changed my password disconnected all laptops but I don’t use them anymore so I am confused

    Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

    Phones generally don't get viruses unless you're browsing websites you shouldn't be browsing, and phones generally have antivirus software these days, so you can try searching for it inside the app. I don't recommend restoring factory settings, we have found that many users restore factory settings without backing up their phone authenticator resulting in a lot of subsequent problems.

    I’ve been having the same issues, started all of a sudden a few days ago, I’m getting about 30 phishing emails a day to my Hotmail/outlook account, I ve checked for alerts and there aren’t any so they are clearly phishing emails. I m blocking, reporting and deleting and I’ve changed my password but I’m still getting them usually claiming to be Microsoft, Google or antivirus all threatening to close accounts, saying I have to click on their link to rid the virus or that I m being hacked. There must be something that can be done to stop these coming through

    I can understand your concern about what happened to you, based on your note that you received a large number of emails saying that you received threats to your account. You are quite right to change your password, regardless of whether or not your account has received threats.

    You can log into your account on account.microsoft.com, click on Security - View Login Information and check if there are any unusual logins, if not, it means your account is safe and those emails are just to scare you, you can ignore them, of course, you can report them too.

    You can also check your computer device for Trojans and viruses to protect your login device.

    When it is confirmed that your account email is safe, you don't need to worry about your email being hacked anymore.

    Sorry, we don't have a phone here, but please don't worry too much, if there is an anomaly, login unsuccessful login, it means that your account has been known by the hacker, normal attempt to crack.

    My suggestion is that you log in to your account in other devices to change your password, way to be hacked, because the device you normally log in to is estimated to be likely to be implanted with Trojans or viruses by hackers.

    At the same time in order to improve the security level of your account, you can use Microsoft authenticator + no password login, so that you change the password, the hacker will not know, when the hacker tries to log in you can block his login on the phone, I believe that the hacker can not log in to your account will finally give up the solution.

    Hello

    I have checked and it shows that there have been attempts to access blocked by Microsoft I have unconnected the old laptops now but am still getting the emails can you confirm if my account is safe or is there a phone number I can call to discuss?

    I only have my iPhone now
