I need advice on integrating Google and Microsoft in my daily workflow

I need some help or advice with the following:

I have three devices in my life for now:

  • one Alienware Desktop PC (I went with Alienware because after being an Apple user design does matter, but I am not gaming at all)
  • one Microsoft Surface Pro 11 as a mobile device
  • and Android Phone in the form of Google Pixel 9 XL

In addition I have 3 requirements

  • I am taking photos (plenty) with my Android phone
  • I am using a custom domain email address
  • I am hosting a personal website under my custom domain name umbrella

Issues/problems:

  • as an Android user it makes sense to store my photos in the Google Account. As a Pixel 9 user I also received 1 year of Google One subscription which includes 2 TB of space and Gemini Advanced. So I am using a Google Personal email account for pictures and storage.
  • because I need a custom domain I had to open also a Google Workspace account
  • my favourite email client on Windows is Outlook, I just couldn't find anything better. I am using Outlook 2021 desktop (one time payment version)
  • in order to make Outlook work on Windows with the Google Workspace I need to use their Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook
  • Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook is not yet working on Windows 24H2 so it doesn't work on the Microsoft Surface yet
  • Google Drive and Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook are not arm64 native yet

If I would migrate to the Apple ecosystem all of this would run under the same umbrella, nicely integrated and probably the subscription price will also be cheaper. But Microsoft and Google does not play nice with each other.

How can I achieve the same level of integration using Google and Microsoft services? Is it possible? Should I migrate to Microsoft 365? But then what about the pictures and having a public personal website with a custom domain?
Can anyone please help me navigate through this jungle?

To answer my own question I am going to try using Google only apps. Apparently you can use Google Docs and Gmail offline (with just 90 days of history offline, but you have Google Takeout for personal archiving purpopses). The Google interface is cleaner (sorry Microsoft) and Microsoft 365 is a beast which is hard to administer.

Thanks for your reply! This seems to resolve the emails issue, but what about my Pictures? How do I sync them between the phone and my PC/tablet? I have 500 GB of pictures. It seems I still need a Google Account. And what about my domain? In Google I can use Google Sites as far as I know you cannot host a website in Microsoft 365

If you buy O365, Personal you can install that on 6 x PC/Macs owned and used by you the O365 buyer, and oneDrive will sync on all (you will see the same data

On any Android/iOS mobile/fablet you install OneDrive and the individual office components from the mobile store associated with the O365 MS Account, and all will sync.

Gmail syncs email only, not Calander/Contacts

Outlook.com, an exchange type does sync all on all devices

On any Mobile there is a setting to sync to Onedrive, pics etc and remove from the mobile

Google stuff is for the most part web browser based only
