New Outlook's unwanted automatic restarts

Hi, all--I've seen some threads here about New Outlook automatically starting when a computer is booted up. However, what I've been experiencing is New Outlook--which is always open while I'm working or watching on my HP laptop (running Windows 11)--just automatically closing and restarting. My best guess is this happens so a new ad can be loaded at the top of my inbox, which I always delete, hopefully before it fully loads, so I don't see the product being advertised. (Small victories, something, something.) This is annoying and cynical on the part of Microsoft. Does anyone know of any way to stop these unwanted restarts?

Thanks, y'all.

It just happened again. I'm working on a draft email in New Outlook, the application just restarts automatically, and I have to go get my draft back up on the screen again to continue working. (Plus, in the draft, after the unwelcome restart, line breaks have been automatically added immediately before and after every instance of an mdash, creating all these bizarre paragraphs.)

But, hey, there's a fresh ad at the top of my inbox! Super!

    Incredibly annoying.

No, I won't be doing that. It would require either that I take ages to set up everything on that account so I can do all my work on it while I wait to see if Outlook does one of its random restarts or that I sit on that new account and do nothing but watch and wait for Outlook to do one of its random restarts.

And again, I'm working on an email and Outlook just closes and restarts.

I'm assuming you've backed away from this, which means the status quo will continue.

Anyone know of better email apps to run on Windows, so I can get rid of Outlook?

    The Outlook version is 1.2024.903.200**.**

I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook earlier today; some 10 hours ago. It just did the random automatic restart again (which is why I'm back here).

This really seems to be purposefully programmed in so that a fresh advertisement will load at the top of my inbox. So, colour me suspicious when you say you're not seeing the restarts, yourself. Do you delete the ads that come in at the head of the inbox?

Thanks for your reply. I believe I was clear: "what I've been experiencing is New Outlook [...] just automatically closing and restarting." It's therefore not an auto-start, it's an auto-restart that happens seemingly randomly.
