Input the information as below to link email using pop setting and tried IMAP also

IMAP server outlook.office365.com
IMAP port 993
IMAP encryption SSL/TLS
Authentication Method OAuth2/Modern Auth
transparent170x1px.png
POP server name outlook.office365.com
POP port 995
POP encryption SSL/TLS
Authentication Method OAuth2/Modern Auth
SMTP server name smtp-mail.outlook.com
SMTP port 587
SMTP encryption STARTTLS
Authentication Method OAuth2/Modern Auth

This is the error message coming up on phone

Any ideas whats going on or has MS changed pop setting? or has MS done some updates and causing this issue?

BTW this only happens with Hotmail accounts. Gmail/VM all working fine

    Dear pauldruery,

Thank you for your patience and feedback.

I understand that you have found a Bluemail application and can smoothly access your Hotmail account, which is indeed a good choice. However, when using any third-party application, please ensure its security and privacy policy to protect your personal information and account security.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

    Best Regards,

This is my issue same as other posts.

We have devices that use POP3 and have the following configuration.
    incoming: outlook.office365.com
    Port: 995 , TLS
    outgoing: smtp.office365.com
    Port 587, STARTTLS

We are using this same configuration for a year and half now and suddenly stopped from working.
I already make sure that the POP3 services is enabled and also I can login to Outlook Live and use it without any problem.

The error is this. "Your email server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password".
I change 2 times the password in Admin Portal, can use the same password at outlook live. Why is this happening.

    Thank you very much.

    Dear pauldruery,

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

According to your description, you are not using the Outlook app, but a third-party software.

So according to the requirements of modern verification:

If you use another email application: You need to always check the add account steps to look for Outlook.com and use it if that option is available. If Outlook.com is not an option, you will want to contact the application's support to confirm that they support Modern Authentication against EAS, POP, IMAP, and SMTP.

If the application does not support Modern Authentication, downloading Outlook is recommended. All users can download Outlook for free and it works with most email services.

    Addie,

I'm not following most of what you have put on here.

please use the Outlook.com/Exchange protocol instead. unsure where that is?

I have a hotmail.co.uk account and when trying to re add my hotmail account into Hub it gives me three options

    IMAP

    POP

    SMTP

all of which Ive tried to re add my Hotmail account with the settings above and it come up with the error provided above

    Dear pauldruery,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

I understand that the applications on your phone are experiencing issues.

Please don't worry, I will do my best to help you solve this problem together now.

Any ideas whats going on or has MS changed pop setting? or has MS done some updates and causing this issue?

Yes, Microsoft has recently implemented a policy update for new authentication methods.

Information: Until September 16th, users signing into Outlook.com through Basic Authentication may experience recurring password prompts in Outlook and other third-party email applications. This is a known issue. After September 16th, users attempting to connect their Microsoft accounts through Basic Authentication will fail to do so.

In this situation, you can refer to the following methods to solve this problem:

If your Hotmail account is configured with POP/IMAP and SMTP, please use the Outlook.com/Exchange protocol instead.

1.Please check that your Outlook has been updated to the latest version. And add your account again.

2.To alleviate this issue, please delete the account and add it back to Outlook.com. In the "Add Account" dialog box, select "Outlook.com".

Note: Based on the above plan, it can be inferred that after September 16th, Outlook.com/Hotmail.com/MSN.com/Live.com can only use the Outlook.com/Exchange protocol. Therefore, if your account is an account of the aforementioned domain name. This should be the reason why you encounter problems after configuring POP/IMAP.

If the above methods do not work and your problem only occurs on the mobile application, you can refer to this link to contact the support personnel within the application for more targeted assistance: Get in-app help for Outlook for iOS and Android - Microsoft Support

Hope this help you, please feel free to let me know how it goes. If there is any deviation in my understanding, please forgive me and provide me with more details. I am more than happy to continue to help you.
