Unusual messages in email threads

I have noticed that recently when I check emails on my phone there is consistently an email from postmaster@ouook below the email received saying ‘Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups’.

It’s like my account is trying to send an auto reply to all emails I’ve received although I’ve not (knowingly) set this up.

Can anyone advise how to stop this?

    Hi, Andy Hensby

Thank you for voicing your concern in this community.

I understand that you are facing some problems related to constantly receiving emails from postmaster, I know why this has happened and I know what to do, don't worry.

In summary, as you said, your account automatically sends email to a specific email address, to be precise, all your new incoming email is automatically forwarded to a specific address which may be blocked at the moment for some reason, so of course the email will not be forwarded to that address and you will get an error message.

To solve this problem, I would like you to check your rule settings immediately.

You can perform the following steps on Outlook.com or Outlook new.

    1. Open your Outlook
    2. Select Settings in the top right corner, it‘s a gear icon.
    3. Navigate to Mail > Rules
    4. See if there are any rules you don't recognize and remove them all

Also, don't forget to check the forwarding settings if you are using Outlook new, turn it off.

After following the steps above, you should not encounter this problem again. Most of the time, these types of situations are usually those unsuspecting people who invade your account and then set these types of rules in your account to monitor your correspondence, so you should also pay more attention to the security of your account to avoid incurring more losses.

I hope my answer can be helpful. Also, feel free to let me know if you get anywhere on this topic, I look forward to hearing from you and having a great day.

    Best regards
