Can't create new users and log in to them- Windows server 2016

Hi, I am trying to have two users and have programs running on each of them. I tried making a user account, added as admin but when I logout it kicks me off RDP and when I log in I am back on the main user.

I am using the evaluation edition because I am just testing a server provider. Does it need to be standard? or have a I missed something?

Thanks

    Hi @Chris kyle ,

if you logoff in a RDP session it's normal the RDP quits.
If you connect to a server you need to provide a username and password. If you want to login with the new user you have to change the username and password in the RDP connection.

    Hi @Chris kyle ,

which RDP client are you using?
With MSTSC you can configure a connection and save the config. This way you could configure different connections with different usernames. Double-Clicking on the saved connection will open the RDP connection with different users.
Depending on your RDP client there are maybe different options.

Ok seems as though If I change the main user password different from the Server password then it comes up with a user login screen and I can change to each user. But there must be an easier way than this?

Thanks, I see that I can login with the usernames. I am using the normal windows RDP but when I try save the RDP file and change the login, it changes all of them to the last saved. Not sure why

I see the one you mentioned is used through command promts? Is there an easy to use way of setting up files I can just click and open?
