Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Same issue. Still trying to research a solution.

On my Windows 10 desktop PC, when opening some e-mails in Outlook.com, they sometimes open in a URL - about:blank. It happens randomly and in Chrome and Firefox as well. It does not seem to be happening on my other (laptop) computer. I've cleared the cache, re-started, and ran multiple anti-virus programs. Re-booted my router as well. When searching and opening many sites, it does not happen. It seems to only be e-mail (Outlook.com) related.

Microsoft doesn't get the issue. My computer is doing the same thing. Emails are opening in another window.
Thanks for the reply. When opening the email, it doesn't open a blank page. It opens the e-mail (readable) in another page, kind of re-directed, with the about:blank in the URL.
Hi, 28gauge!
Thank you for your reply.
I have understood your question. Based on the description you have provided, if the situation you describe occurs, it is most likely that the sender becomes blank when pasting. it is also possible that the blocking is coming from Microsoft servers. You can ask the sender to copy and paste the heavy text directly instead of copying the link.
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, 28gauge!
Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community. I realize that you've encountered a problem with < The URL in the email opens to a blank page> and I understand how you feel.
Based on the information you provided, you opened the URL to show a blank page. Please check that the address of the URL in the email sent to you by the sender is valid. You can move your mouse to the URL of the email and right-click on it, click "Copy link", copy the link into your browser and open it to see if it can be opened normally. You can also invite the sender to open the URL in the email to see if it works.
Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
