I have a hotmail account in my name but I am receiving a lot of emails addressed like fgrdfvfgtfgh.hotmail.com.

I receive dozens of emails every day that are not using my email address. Typically they are addressed like “ dgtfbhgyfdef.hotmail.com”.

How are they getting to my email account but more importantly how do I stop them.

You're being CC'd or BCC'd (not as common.) If outlook is sending these to Junk, they're known to be spam and there is nothing you can or should do except delete them if you don't want to wait for automatic clearing of the Junk folder.

If outlook is putting them in the Inbox, mark them as spam. Don't bother ceating rules, they're more trouble than they're worth.
