Where is offline emails (OST file) location of the new Outlook for Windows 11 Pro; Not Microsoft Office Outlook

I am trying to figure out the OST file location of the new Outlook for Windows 11;

Location C:\Users<UN>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook doesn't have it.

The new Outlook doesn't have a backup/export feature, so I am trying to locate the OST file so that I can convert it to PST.

An account was connected but deleted on the server, so I need to back up the Outlook emails.

Thank you.

"We recommend that you select some of the most important emails to save".

The problem is that the *.ost file already exists. If I cannot import the *.ost file, how is it possible for me to save the emails?

I run a business where I keep customer emails in an *.ost file to protect private and sensitive data. Sure, someone could hack my machine and steal that data, but with this cloud-based-only approach for the New Outlook, Microsoft is asking me to trust that their cloud servers are secure. As news items seem to appear regularly about hacked computer systems, I prefer to risk a hack on my machine and not be subject to hacking on servers I have no control over.

This design change is a source of major pain for me and for others (who have posted to the forums) who use *.ost files. I have more than a decade of information stored in an *.ost file and now need to figure out a way to access it.

    Hello,

Are there any plans for the new Outlook to eventually support OST files?

And if not why did Microsoft think it was such a good idea to drop that support?

    Regards

    Dear KhandakerAnwar,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Sorry, what you need to know is that currently New Outlook doesn't support import/export feature and they don't save email data as ost files like Classic Outlook, so you can't find them.

We suggest you to save important emails separately in New Outlook, then right-click them to open them in Classic Outlook and save them there for you to perform other operations.

We recommend that you select some of the most important emails to save, as this does not allow for the transfer of large batches of emails, and will have to wait for a subsequent update to New Outlook, and you can also give feedback on this issue in New Outlook.

I hope my suggestion is helpful to you.

    Best regards
