    Hi scott power,

Thanks for your reply letting me know more about your situation! I agree with you that changing your email provider to Outlook is by far the easiest and quickest solution if you don't receive a lot of emails. Thank you for keeping my suggestion for future reference when needed, and to help more users experiencing the same or similar issues, please mark this reply as ‘Yes’ so that other users can quickly locate the solution.😊

Good luck with your work and have a good life😊

    Hi scott power,

At the moment, I haven't received any reply from you, and in the time I've been waiting for your reply, I've continued to keep an eye on your problem in the hope of helping you solve it, so here are some other suggestions I have:

    1. The [add account] button exists in addition to [Settings] - [Account], you can also see it at the bottom of the list on the left, as shown in the picture:

    Image

    1. If you don't find the [Add account] button in either location, there may be a problem with your application, you can try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Or fix new outlook in system settings.

    If you are using win10:

    1. Right-click the Start button Windows Start button in Windows 8 and Windows 10 (bottom left corner) and select Apps & Features from the context menu.
    2. Select the outlook(new) that you want to repair and select Edit.
    3. Click on ‘repair’ or ‘reset’ in the advanced options.
    4. If this still doesn't fix the problem, then maybe your application is being interfered with by a system account, you can try it on a different device or by creating/changing a new system account.
    5. Start Outlook in clean mode

I recommend trying a clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a background service or program is interfering or causing a problem.   These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

I wish you all the best

    Hi scott power,

After entering [Settings] - [Account], can you see the [Add account] button? As shown in the picture:

If you still don't see the [Add account] button on your page, you can send me a screenshot of your interface.

    Hi scott power,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

I realise that you want to add another external email account to the new version of outlook using windows 10 and I will do my best to help you!

    1. Open new Outlook: First, open the new Outlook app on your Windows 10 computer.
    2. Go to Settings: Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen to go to Settings, then select Accounts and click Add Account.
    3. Add Account: In the Add Account window, enter your Bell Aliant email address.
    4. Manual Setup: Since Bell Aliant uses POP or IMAP for email services, you will need to set up your account manually. Click Select Provider.
    5. Select Account Type: Select ‘POP or IMAP’ as the account type.
    6. Enter account information:
      • Username: Enter your full Bell Aliant email address.
      • Password: Enter your Bell Aliant email password.
    7. Server Settings:
      • Incoming Mail Server: For Bell Aliant, this is usually pop.bellaliant.net.
      • Outgoing Server: The SMTP server is usually smtp.bellaliant.net.
      • Port: The default port for POP is 995 (using SSL) and for SMTP is 587 (using TLS).
      • SSL Required: Make sure the SSL option is ticked if required by Bell Aliant.
    8. Test Account Settings: After entering all of the information, click Connect to ensure that Outlook is able to connect to the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
    9. Complete Setup: If the connection is successful, click OK to complete setting up your email account in Outlook.

Please note that exact server names, ports and security settings may vary, so you are advised to refer to the specific parameters in the official articles published by Bell Aliant to confirm the most accurate and up-to-date information. If you encounter any issues during the setup process, it is recommended to contact Bell Aliant Support for specific guidance related to their email service.

Thank you for your patience and support.

    Best Regards
