When I was switched to Outlook from Hotmail I only got back a screenful of emails dated 2023. How can I get back/access messages that have been sent to me during this past year and also the most recent messages of 2024? I've already tried changing settings, etc. but nothing has worked, so I'm stumped and need help.

Thank you for your reply.
First of all, it's impossible to convert hotmail to outlook automatically.
It can't be ruled out that you added an @outlook account alias within your @hotmail account and set it as the primary alias, so that your login to @hotmail brings up @outlook.
Of course it's also possible that your browser has your @outlook account logged in, causing the two Microsoft accounts to get confused.
Suggest you log in to your @hotmail account at https://account.microsoft.com/ using the privacy mode and then check your account information in your messages for the email address.

Thanks for responding. The switch from Hotmail to Outlook was done automatically since I did not do anything to change it. I can open the acct. with the Hotmail address, but it comes up as Outlook. I had a tech friend try to help me with this problem and she was able to send me an email message, but the rest of the screen still only has 2023 messages come up after her message came in. She was not able to get my previous 2024 messages and suggested that I contact you for more help. Hope you can...

We understand that you cannot see your 2024 emails after switching from hotmail to outlook.
What did you do to switch from hotmail to outlook?
Normally, hotmail and outlook are both Microsoft mailboxes, but the domain names are different.
Can you still log in to your hotmail and check your emails at outlook.live.com?
