Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
new outlook sucks. why role out betaware when you don't have a full featured product?

I work in a EU institution, and as many governmental organisation we need to manage functional (shared) mailboxes in our team. Besides our personal account we need to manage about 5 functional mailboxes in Outlook app. Switching to the new Outlook (we tried it out) we cannot work according to our workflow because of a missing feature: we need to drag/drop the Functional Mailboxes Inbox into the favourite folder on top of the left side bar, below the standard inbox. This is a very key functionality for us as we work with different mailboxes according to the function/area of responsibility and we need to back up each other. I tried to add the functional mailboxes to the favourites on top, but it shows the SENT mails or it mixes them up, we need to see the incoming mails, not the sent ones. Please could you restore the feature of drag/drop the functional mailboxes' Inbox (shared mailboxes) to the Favourites. i tried as indicated in the MS instructions (copilot) but it does not work. here are the steps we need.
1 Open Outlook and go to the Mail view.
2 Locate the shared mailbox in your folder pane. If you don’t see it, you might need to add it first (see steps below).
3 Expand the shared mailbox to see its folders.
4 Right-click on the Inbox of the shared mailbox.
5 Select “Add to Favorites” from the context menu.
(I attach what is displayed from the functional mail box -Sent Items- instead of INBOX)

Okay it’s January, where is the feature? They’ve been promising this for 2 years now.
Hi there, It's end of the month.... any updates on this feature rolling out?
it's ONLY thing keeping me from switching to the new Outlook :-)
Dear Microsoft. This forced update is the worst ever. I went from Windows Mail, a sleek, effective and comfortable design, to New outlook which looks like a huge step back and also lacking the basic function of shared inbox. How hard can it be to install something which has been around for 20 years?? Congratulations on 2025's biggest enshittification so far.
It's March 2025..... and this still hasn't rolled out???? Any updates?
