Setting rules on Outlook app??

Is there any way to set rules on Outlook?!

We cannot possibly be in 2024, near the singularity of AI, and I cannot set a simple rule on Outlook on my Android phone. My account is nearly an unusable hellscape now because Outlook is failing to filter out junk/phishing and doesn't even have an option for me to set a rule that filters emails containing keywords to my junk folder. I don't know how else to manage the junk I'm being inundated with.

I've tried it on the app on my phone, on Chrome browser, as desktop site and mobile - no option anywhere. I have a Chromebook, so imagine it'll be the same issue, but we can't all afford full-on laptops these days so I have no PC/Laptop.

Please someone help me, is there any way? Otherwise I'll have to move ALL of my important info and accounts to another email and abandoned it, which fills me with dread. And rest assured, if I do have to do that, it'll be to Gmail and I won't renew the utterly redundant 365 subscription.

I did all of this and it still never worked. So basically you can't do it without a computer.

Is there any REAL reason that this, among many other basic features people have been requesting for years (like the ability to change the default from “replay all” to just “reply,” or getting notifications for email sent to folders other than the inbox by a rule), still isn't an option from the app, after A DECADE of Outlook Mobile’s existence?

At this point, I think the consensus among the community of endusers is that Microsoft just doesn’t care, since they have no real competition in the enterprise email market…

    Dear Caroline_Username_Is_Taken,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to set up rules in your Outlook to be able to block spam and manage emails.

I can understand how you feel and would be happy to help you.

You can't manage and set up rules in Outlook on mobile, but on your phone and Chromebook, you can modify the website view in Chrome to show the desktop version of the webpage as follows.

Please open Chrome, open Settings, find “Site Settings”, in “Desktop Site”, set it to on.

    Then, visit the address below.

After entering, click “...” in the upper right corner of the page, find Settings, and set rules in “Mail - Rules”. It is recommended to use the horizontal screen to display more content.

Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,
