Hi Julia Gaeta,
Good day! Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft community. We will be happy to assist you.
From your description, I understand that you would like to send encrypted emails to your clients. Can I verify are you using a Microsoft business account, personal account (outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com) or a third-party account? If it is a personal account, please reply to this message and we will engage dedicated team for further check.
This thread is applied to Outlook/Windows/New Outlook for Windows/For business. New Outlook supports Microsoft 365 Message Encryption as long as your email server has an Office 365 Enterprise E3 license. S/MIME encryption will be supported starting in Fall 2024.
If you have required license assigned to your account, please find details below to send encrypted messages.
- In an email message, choose Options, and then select Encrypt.
- Pick the encryption that has the restrictions you want to enforce, such as Encrypt-Only or Do Not Forward.
- Finish composing your email and then choose Send.
You can as well refer to this official article for more details or you are using Classic Outlook: Send encrypted email messages in Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support
Please let us know if there is any concern or further question to be addressed. We will be glad to help you!
I would appreciate your precious time and cooperation!
Sincerely
Luckie Shi | Community moderator.
