Problem with msn email on iPhone

My MSN email will no longer work on my iPhone. I contacted Apple. They said it is a problem at your end.

    As a matter of fact, recently a lot of users are responding that they are experiencing the problem of not being able to sync emails or add accounts on their mobile devices (iOS is the majority), which may be a popular issue, in addition, you can also try the following suggestions to try to fix this issue.

    Recently msn/Hotmail/Outlook/live mail address has no longer support for IMAP or POP3 and it must use the latest modern authentication, please delete your account from your mail app and re-add your account, choose outlook.com as your provider.

    1. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. If you are using iOS18 you will need to find Mail inside Settings > App.
    2. If you already have your account, tap your mail address and delete it first.
    3. Tap Add Account, then select your email provider, Select Outlook.com (preferred) or Exchange.
    4. Enter your email address and password. Server setting will be automatically detected for you.
    5. If you see Next, tap Next and wait for Mail to verify your account.
    6. If you see Save, tap Save.

    1. what email app are you using?

    Are you using mail app or Outlook for iOS when you have this problem?

    2.What is your iOS version?

    Please make sure your iOS version is not lower than iOS18, the latest iOS contains the latest updates and features, needs to use the new style authentication, which needs the latest features support.

    3. When did you encounter this problem?

    Did you encounter this issue during the process of adding an account? Or did you add your account successfully but have problems sending and receiving emails? Or maybe the in-app keeps prompting you to re-verify your account?

    4. Have you tried to re-add your account?

    Re-adding can solve some of the problems caused by authentication, and be sure to note that when re-adding your account, choose Outlook.com as your mailbox service provider (protocol)

    I to have the same issue from when I updated to IOS18.

    immediately, I lost the Junk mail box so I only received in Inbox.

    my email is an msn.com account.

    I can download the Microsoft Outlook but I'm not a fan of it's layout and functionality, it doesn't allow you to block emails easily by sliding and moving, blocking or deleting etc as I could with the Mail version.

    last night I updated 18.1.1 hoping that would resolve and I've tried the solutions proffered here but to no avail.

    There must be a work around that actually works

    I TOO am having nothing but problems since i upgrade my apple device to an iPhone16 Plus and now i can see some emails received in the MSN mail account but i cannot open any of them and and i am not receiving any emails in any fashion even after it says emails updated. The emails show in a list but then i click on one and it will not load I get the working circle forever and then nothing happens. I have tried all that the person above instructed and absolutely no change what so ever I am beyond Irritated why do I even use MSN there is always some freaking problem with compatibility issue all the time!

    I had a similar problem. I upgraded to Iphone16 Pro Max and can see and receive email. I cannot send any. It states user name or password is incorrect but it’s correct. When I go to settings re-enter my password then it states account cannot be verified. This will not work and I cannot get a human on the help line to speak with.

    I followed the instruction and was able to access to my MSN account on my iPhone, but all the contents on the folders are all gone. They are extremely important and cannot lose them. How can I sync and get all the folders back?
