The easiest solution I found for the desktop application was to open the event or event series, select File, select Move to Folder, select Other Folder, scroll down, and select the Calendar folder for the desired account.
Can I move a calendar event to a different calendar?
My Outlook calendar has the main calendar and I've created a bunch of other calendars for separate projects. When folks send me calendar invites to my work email account, and I accept them, they go into my main calendar. Is there a way to move them to one of my other calendars? I don't see an option for that. I can assign a category to them, but I'd rather be able to just click the calendars I want to view at any one time. (Unless I'm missing something about how the categories work.)

2024-09-09T13:06:51+00:00 Hi,
Your explanation might work with older Outlook version. But this does not seems to work with the "New outlook".
Any way to make it work?I'm able to change event from calendar to another only when I created it not for the item I was invited.
Any tips?
Thank you!

2025-05-22T16:03:10+00:00 I hope this gets fixed. I use an additional calendar created by me for my team and do not need everything on that calendar on my personal one, but do need it sometimes. The old version would allow you to add yourself as a participant and it would populate on your personal calendar right away. This version needs at least that capability, but drag and drop amongst your own calendars seems intuitive. All I can do now is create a placeholder on my personal calendar. If someone else creates the event as my team has editing rights, it won't add me either.

2024-09-06T18:10:54+00:00 Hello Dstone001,
Good morning! Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community. We will be happy to help you.
I understand you're looking for a way to organize your calendar invites more efficiently. Here's how you can move calendar invites to different calendars in Outlook:
- Open Outlook and select "Calendar" from the bottom navigation bar.
- From the left-hand window, choose the appropriate calendar.
- Click and hold (or press and hold) the appointment you want to relocate, then drag it to a new calendar
Alternatively, you can use a shortcut:
- Select the calendar item you want to move to a different calendar.
- Press
CMD+Shift+V. This will bring up a dialog that will allow you to specify where you want to move your calendar item
These methods should help you keep your calendar organized by project. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
Sincerely
