I want to send an email to 50 recipients, without using BCC or CC because it will be flagged as spam. Is there a function in outlook to do this or do I have to send the email one by one? I am using Microsoft 365.

    Hello Daniel DingIG,

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft community.

I understand you want to send an email to 50 recipients without using BCC or CC because it may trigger spam filters, and you're wondering if there's a way to do this in Microsoft Outlook without sending individual emails one by one.
This is a common scenario when trying to ensure a professional email reaches multiple recipients effectively while avoiding issues like spam detection or disclosing recipient details. Microsoft 365 provides tools that can help streamline this process efficiently.

To better understand and investigate your problem, I can get some more detailed information from you:

Could you please share me the details of your Outlook version? Follow this article Which version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support and follow the steps to check.

Outlook has a built-in feature called Mail Merge that can help you send personalized emails to multiple recipients without using BCC or CC. Here's how you can use it:

    Prepare a Recipient List

    • Create a list of recipients in Excel with the necessary details (e.g., Name, Email Address).
    • Save the file as a**.xlsx** or .csv file.

Set Up Mail Merge in Word

    • Open Microsoft Word.
    • Go to Mailings > Start Mail Merge > Email Messages.
    • Select Select Recipients > Use an Existing List and choose your Excel file.
    • Draft your email in Word. You can insert placeholders (like First Name) using Insert Merge Field to personalize the email.
    • Click Finish & Merge > Send Email Messages.
    • In the dialog box, select the column containing the email addresses, type your subject line, and click OK to send the emails.

Each recipient will receive an individual email, making it appear as if the message was sent to them alone.

    Note

    • If you frequently send mass emails, consider using Microsoft Bookings or tools like Power Automate for enhanced functionality.
    • For larger distributions, you can use a mailing service likeMicrosoft Teamsfor sending newsletters or announcements.

    Creating a group
Creating a group in Outlook is a another great approach to manage email communication with multiple recipients. Outlook’s Contact Groups feature allows you to organize recipients under one name for easy and efficient emailing.

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Navigate to the People section (click the People icon at the bottom of the navigation pane).
    3. Click New Contact Group in the toolbar.
    4. Give your group a meaningful name (e.g., "Team Updates").
    5. Click Add Members and select:
      • From Outlook Contacts to add existing contacts.
      • New Email Contact to manually enter email addresses.

Once you’ve added all recipients, click Save & Close.

Send an Email to the Group

    1. Compose a new email in Outlook.
    2. In the To field, type the name of your contact group (e.g., "Team Updates").
    3. Write your email and click Send.

    Note

    • Using a contact group makes it easier to manage and update recipients without re-entering addresses.
    • For privacy, recipients in the group will see each other's email addresses. If privacy is a concern, consider Mail Mergeas an alternative.

For ongoing collaboration, you can also create a Microsoft 365 Group via the admin center or Outlook. This will allow recipients to collaborate on shared emails, files, and tasks, depending on your requirements.

Let me know if you need further guidance or have any concerns!
