Maybe I am alone but the new Outlook is a nightmare for me. I can't open unless I pull up 365 and then I have to enter a password to sign into email.

    Hello Dear User,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you seem to be having trouble signing into your email.

You are definitely not the only one who finds the New Outlook to be a nightmare. Admittedly, the New Outlook currently has some shortcomings and may not meet all users' expectations. However, with updates, it is expected to improve over time.

Regarding your issue, I might need some clarification.

    • What do you mean by 'pull up 365'? The New Outlook is actually a free application and should not require a Microsoft 365 subscription.
    • Are you saying that you need to re-enter your account password every time you open the New Outlook?
    • If so, what email domain are you using?

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best Regards,

The last two days, none of my Outlook icons work. To get into my outlook express, I have to log in manually through Microsoft. And then everything looks diffent. Just an hour ago I found that all my inbox messages had been inadvertently deleted! I had to manually move each deleted message back to the inbox. That took me an hour, and I'm still not finished. I much prefer the previous version. How can I get it back?

I am not trying to sign in I know my password just that I think it's dumb how I got to put my old number to verify my account and I don't have that number anymore and I'm trying to put my alternate email in case if it doesn't let me sign in cause I purchase alot of games into that account and I'm afraid I can lose it just cause I don't have my old phone number but I know my password. I think the system is dumb and shouldn't require a phone number when people don't claim there number forever.

Thank you for responding. Yes, I have an annual subscription to Microsoft 365. I do not profess to understand a lot about 365 but my view is that even creating a simple Word document is more difficult.

I had Outlook and could access easily via My MSN. However, since the authentication issue, I need to click the 365 Icon to access. Using help, has not been a resource to find solutions but sends one from one page to another page, etc. without a solution.

Today, the 365 Icon is on the desktop and used to log into 365. It does not always ask for my email and instead spins for a while it connects.

When 365 opens the Outlook icon is visible. Click to open Outlook and now I am asked to enter my email. Initially I was asked for my password or (PIN) but is no longer required. There are times I have to click Outlook again. I have issues with Outlook but just being able to access is priority.

The domain for my email is MSN.com

I hope I have answered your questions and appreciate any help you can provide.
