    THE ANSWER FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing helped me, even uninstalling/reinstalling etc... UNTIL I finally found someone who had the answer.
On my Samsung S24+, but I'm sure it will be comparable to other Android phones:
    Go into Settings (gear icon)

Scroll down to "Accounts and Backup" (on my phone) with sub heading "Manage Accounts . Smart Switch"

    Click "Manage Accounts"

Delete the offending email account(s) from the list.

Try adding the email account to Outlook again.

Worked perfectly for me - THE VERY FIRST TIME!

Didn't have to restart the phone or nothing.
I hope this helps someone - pass it on.

Godaddy has not done ****. Two of us have wasted close to 8 hours trying to deal with this. We just paid $650 for 2 emails and cant access it on mobile. This is a scam, GoDaddy blames microsoft, but they are the ones who pocket the cash. No accountability and no resolve. Garbage company with no customer service

Same here but on iphone. I’ve used the Outlook app for years to access my godaddy email addresses. I bought a new phone and now outlook cannot connect. Godaddy tech support said I needed to be referred to their tier 2 tech support and I would get a call back in 5 minutes. 2DAYS LATER I get a random number call and it’s Godaddy Tier 2 support and it’s a FEE BASED SERVICE! I just hung up. Next year at renewal time I’m moving my domains. This is ridiculous.

I am having the same problem as well. The problem occurred when it was copied to a new phone. I have two different 365 accounts - two different domains. One 365 email with Microsoft, it works just fine on my new phone. One 365 email with GoDaddy and I cannot get the Outlook app to accept this as a new email account. It keeps giving me an error when trying to authenticate. I deleted the account from my 'accounts' on the phone, cleared the cache in the Outlook app, reinstalled the app. No luck! Any advice?

Had the same issue w/ 2 different domains hosted at M365 THROUGH GoDaddy. I was able to resolve by adding MFA for users using MS Authenticator app. They were then able to add accounts to Outlook on Android.
