    Hi

I’m using the desktop version of Outlook version 2411 (Build 18277.20222)

The email address I want to add the unsubscribe link is a generic business one to is XXXXXXXX@*********

    Would this work:

    Unsubscribe from emails

Click this link to our email address and press send.

We’ll manage the unsubscribe requests manually

    Thanks in advance

    Sandra

    Hi, Brook Sandra

    Good day!

Thanks for posting into our community and we're glad to assist you.

According to your description, to add an unsubscribe option to your Outlook emails is a great way to manage your distribution list and comply with email marketing best practices.

First of all, would you please allow us to collect some detailed information as below:

    • Are you using a Microsoft 365 business account(@xxx.onmicrosoft.com/@yourdomain.com) or a personal account (ending in outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com/msn.com) or another third-party POP/IMAP account?
    • Would you please collect the detailed desktop client version and product information with us for further assistance -What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation in advance!

Back to your given issue, would you please try following steps and see if it works for you.

    1. Create an Unsubscribe Link:
      • Write your email as you normally would.
      • At the end of the email, add text like "Unsubscribe".
      • Highlight the "Unsubscribe" text and click on the "Insert Hyperlink" button in the Outlook toolbar.
      • In the "Address" field, enter the URL for your unsubscribe page or a mailto link (e.g., mailto:******@yourdomain.com?subject=Unsubscribe).
      • Click "OK" to insert the link.
    2. Manage Unsubscribe Requests:
      • If you use a mailto link, ensure you have a process to handle incoming unsubscribe requests. This might involve manually removing email addresses from your distribution list.
      • For a more automated approach, consider using an email marketing service that integrates with Outlook and handles unsubscribe requests for you.

By following these steps, you can ensure your recipients have an easy way to opt out of your emails, helping you maintain a clean and compliant email list.

Note: Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Please feel free to share it with us and we will stick with you.

Hope you all the best and looking forward to your new updates!

    Sincerely,

    Alex | Microsoft Community Moderator.

I'm trying to unsubscribe. This program is no longer being used on my computer and folks at Best Buy deactivated it, however, I am still getting correspondence. Please help me resolve this issue and make me "unscribed" Thank you in advance for your assistance, D. Chivers
