The Outlook rule that stopped working for me had been working for over a year. It simply moved security system notifications to a created folder. Nothing changed in the Outlook environment or folder so the issue is not my rule, it all stopped working after the recent Windows 11 Updates. I deleted my old rule but I am still not able to get my new rule to work beyond the first forced run. After the initial run any new rule does not automatically run a second, third, forth, etc. time after the initial run.

    Hi

After deleting all the rules i only created this rule so there are no other rules to create a conflivt.

i'm working n the browser and not the app.

its soo confusing why this is happening.

    Regards

    Dear mARCO,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the forums!

By your description, I understand that you are experiencing Outlook rule issues.

I see that the problem disappeared after you recreated the rule, but on the next day it didn't work again, which is really confusing.

There could be more reasons for this issue to arise and I suggest you follow the steps below to troubleshoot:

1, Check for Conflicts: Ensure there are no conflicts between rules. If multiple rules apply to the same email, it can cause issues. Verify that the rules are correctly configured. Sometimes, a small error in the rule settings can cause them to stop working.

2, If you can make sure it's not a rule creation issue, this could also be a problem with your profile. Suggest you re-add your email account to the Outlook app. This process can fix password synchronization or hidden issues.

3, The last thing is to make sure that there is no error in your Outlook app itself. When you are using a Microsoft domain email, I suggest you first go to webmail outlook.live.com through a browser, to check if the rules run smoothly there. The purpose of doing this is to eliminate as many interruptions as possible, so that you can easily figure out whether the problem is with the account or with the outlook app itself.

If it's a problem with the Outlook app itself, update it to the latest version if possible, or reinstall it. Then try the two troubleshooting steps above again.
